Planned Milestones, Clear Status, Fewer Surprises

Sangjin converts shipment requirements into a documented execution plan. We align pickup and delivery windows, responsible contacts, carrier milestones, site requirements, and escalation rules before transportation begins.

What the Execution Plan Contains

Agreed before the first pickup, not assembled while a shipment is already moving.

  • Shipment reference and cargo profile
  • Parties and contacts
  • Origin readiness
  • Pickup appointment
  • Destination receiving window
  • Route and equipment
  • Planned milestones
  • Document requirements
  • Exception thresholds
  • Communication frequency

Monitored Milestones

Each milestone has an owner and an expected timing. A milestone that does not arrive on time is itself an exception trigger.

  1. 1

    Booking confirmed

  2. 2

    Carrier assigned

  3. 3

    Pickup appointment confirmed

  4. 4

    Pickup completed

  5. 5

    In transit

  6. 6

    Delay or exception

Raised against the agreed threshold rather than at the coordinator’s discretion.

  7. 7

    Arrival scheduled

  8. 8

    Delivery completed

  9. 9

    POD received

  10. 10

    Shipment closed

Reporting Frequency Options

The right frequency depends on cargo criticality and how the customer’s internal decisions are made — not on how much data can be produced.

Event-based updates

A message at each agreed milestone. Suited to high-value or time-critical movements.

Daily summary

One consolidated position per day across all active shipments.

Exception-only alerts

Silence means on-plan. Contact means something needs a decision.

Weekly program report

Volume, milestones, exceptions, and open items across the programme.

Monthly management review

Performance, trends, corrective actions, and upcoming requirements for management.

Technology statement

Shipment status may be compiled from carrier systems, email, telephone, documentation, and customer systems. Data frequency depends on the information available from each contracted provider. Sangjin does not claim universal live GPS tracking, and the achievable reporting standard is confirmed for each engagement before it is promised.

How It Works

How It Works

The same five steps apply whether the engagement is a single industrial lane or a recurring shipping program.

  1. 1

    Requirements Review

Cargo, route, timing, equipment, and service requirements are documented before anything is booked.

  2. 2

    Partner Selection

Qualified carriers and logistics partners are reviewed for operational fit, not price alone.

  3. 3

    Execution Planning

Pickup, delivery, documentation, contacts, milestones, and escalation rules are confirmed in writing.

  4. 4

    Monitoring & Exception Management

Progress is monitored and exceptions are escalated according to the agreed procedure.

  5. 5

    Reporting & Improvement

Delivery records, issues, partner performance, and improvement actions are summarized for management.

Frequently asked questions

How are shipments monitored?

Against the documented execution plan. Each milestone has an expected timing and an owner; status is compiled from carrier systems, email, telephone, documentation, and customer systems. A milestone that does not arrive when expected triggers the exception process rather than waiting for someone to notice.

Exception Management

Do you provide GPS tracking?

We do not claim universal live GPS tracking. Where a contracted carrier provides tracking data or a portal, that source is used and stated. Where it does not, status is compiled from confirmations and direct contact. The standard achievable for a given lane is confirmed before it is agreed.

How quickly are delays reported?

Against the exception thresholds agreed in the execution plan. Thresholds are set per programme — for example a defined variance against a pickup or delivery window — so that reporting is triggered by an objective condition rather than individual judgement.

Exception Management

What documents are provided after delivery?

Proof of delivery and supporting delivery records are collected from the carrier, along with an exception summary where applicable. Document requirements are listed in the execution plan so that missing paperwork is identified at delivery rather than at invoicing.
