Our position in the supply chain

One Accountable Management Layer Between Shippers and Canadian Logistics Partners

Industrial transportation often involves multiple carriers, warehouses, brokers, delivery sites, and internal stakeholders. Sangjin provides one structured point of coordination around those relationships. We document requirements, support partner selection, monitor milestones, manage exceptions, and provide decision-ready reporting.

Physical transportation and regulated services remain with separately contracted qualified providers. That separation is deliberate: it keeps carrier charges distinct from our management fee, keeps commercial relationships transparent, and makes it possible to compare transportation cost against management value.

The result is a single accountable contact for a shipping program, without adding another carrier or warehouse layer to the supply chain.

Our Operating Model

How the relationships are structured

  1. Industrial shipper Owns the cargo requirement and provides product and shipment information.
  2. Sangjin Canada — management agreement Requirements, coordination, monitoring, exceptions, and reporting.
  3. Qualified carrier — transportation contract Contracted and paid directly by the customer. Performs pickup, transit, and delivery.
  4. Licensed broker and qualified warehouse Customs-authorized activity and storage under their own agreements.

Sangjin does not hold cargo, take custody of freight payments, or perform customs-broker-authorized activity.

Services

Seven Managed Service Lines

Each service can stand alone or form part of a recurring managed programme. Every engagement begins with a scope review covering cargo, route, timing, third-party responsibilities, reporting, and compliance boundaries.

Industries

Logistics Support Designed for Industrial Operations

Our initial Canadian scope is intentionally focused on B2B industrial programmes where disciplined coordination, partner oversight, and structured reporting create measurable value.

  • Korean manufacturers with Canadian operations

  • Canadian importers sourcing Korean materials

  • Tier-1 suppliers entering Western Canada

  • Industrial distributors and warehouse operators

  • Manufacturing teams requiring repeatable freight programmes

Korea–Canada

Korean Industrial Experience, Local Canadian Execution

The Korean parent company was established in Ulsan’s Onsan industrial area and has developed long-term experience in synthetic-resin pellets, industrial inputs, owner-operator partner management, special-cargo coordination, and structured customer reporting.

The Canadian subsidiary applies that operating discipline to a locally managed, asset-light model. What transfers is method — requirement intake, partner oversight, escalation procedure, and reporting standards. What does not transfer is licensing: Canadian services remain subject to Canadian contracts, Canadian partners, and Canadian legal review.

How It Works

From Requirement to Reporting, in Five Documented Steps

The same five steps apply whether the engagement is a single industrial lane or a recurring shipping program.

  1. 1

    Requirements Review

Cargo, route, timing, equipment, and service requirements are documented before anything is booked.

  2. 2

    Partner Selection

Qualified carriers and logistics partners are reviewed for operational fit, not price alone.

  3. 3

    Execution Planning

Pickup, delivery, documentation, contacts, milestones, and escalation rules are confirmed in writing.

  4. 4

    Monitoring & Exception Management

Progress is monitored and exceptions are escalated according to the agreed procedure.

  5. 5

    Reporting & Improvement

Delivery records, issues, partner performance, and improvement actions are summarized for management.

Our Operating Model

Clear Roles Reduce Operational and Compliance Risk

Sangjin does not represent itself as the physical carrier, customs broker, or warehouse operator. We manage the coordination layer, while licensed and qualified providers perform the regulated or asset-based services required for each shipment.

What Sangjin manages

  • Carrier sourcing and coordination
  • Shipment milestones
  • Exception escalation
  • Partner qualification
  • SOP development
  • Bilingual reporting
  • Account governance

What qualified partners perform

  • Physical transportation
  • Warehousing
  • Customs-broker-authorized activity
  • Specialized regulated services

Receiving-site coordination is where most industrial exceptions are detected. Warehousing is performed by separately contracted qualified providers.

Bilingual Account Management

Local Detail for Canada. Management Clarity for Korea.

We translate operational complexity into clear business reporting — not simply language translation. Korean headquarters and Canadian logistics providers often work with different reporting habits, decision timelines, terminology, and escalation expectations.

Sangjin converts local operating information into management communication, and ensures decisions made in Korea are communicated back to Canadian partners accurately and on time.

  • Status updates and exception summaries in English and Korean
  • A named account contact and an agreed escalation matrix
  • Partner performance information and open-issue registers
  • Meeting minutes, decisions, and corrective-action tracking

Frequently asked questions

Is Sangjin a trucking company?

No. Sangjin is an asset-light logistics management company. We do not own trucks, employ drivers, or operate warehouses in Canada. Transportation is performed by qualified independent Canadian carriers that are separately contracted and billed.

Our Operating Model

Who contracts and pays the carrier?

The customer contracts and pays the carrier directly under a transportation agreement. Sangjin is engaged under a separate management agreement for coordination, monitoring, exception handling, and reporting. Keeping the two separate makes accountability and cost comparison clearer.

Our Operating Model

What cargo does Sangjin support?

Non-dangerous industrial cargo within our approved service scope — including defined polymer resins, petrochemical inputs, palletized industrial materials, and manufacturing supplies. TDG-classified dangerous goods are not accepted within the initial Canadian service scope. Every product and shipment is reviewed independently.

Industries

Do you provide real-time GPS tracking?

We do not claim universal live GPS tracking. Shipment status is compiled from carrier systems, email, telephone, documentation, and customer systems. Data frequency depends on the information available from each contracted provider, and the agreed reporting standard is confirmed at the start of an engagement.

Shipment Planning & Monitoring

Can we begin with a pilot rather than a full programme?

Yes. A pilot shipping programme with a defined lane, cargo profile, volume, and evaluation period is a common starting point. It lets both sides confirm operating fit, carrier suitability, and reporting requirements before committing to a recurring managed programme.

Services

Do you provide customs clearance?

No. Customs-broker-authorized services are performed by licensed customs brokers under their own engagement with the customer. Sangjin can coordinate milestones and information flow between the broker, the carrier, the warehouse, and the receiving site, but does not perform customs-authorized activity.

FAQ

Planning a Canadian Industrial Shipping Programme?

Share your cargo profile, expected routes, timing, and reporting requirements. We will review whether the proposed service fits our operating scope and identify the next steps. Submission does not confirm pricing, carrier availability, or service acceptance.
